Local creative design workshop, Slovakia
The workshop with Roma participants will focus on the history of Roma in the country, Roma fashion and design, traditions and modernity, creation of unique DIY design and fashion and will use story-telling activities to map participants' experiences related to their identity and cultural heritage. The workshop will use informal education methods and will build on the active participation of the attendees. Participants will become more empowered to be proud of their Roma origin and will gain imporant knowledge in their culture and history. They will also develop their skills in design. The created artefacts, accessories and designs will be part of the exhibition material and will inspire the Visegrad collection to be showcased at the final fashion event of the project.
