Meeting with State Secretary Martin Klus

On Wednesday, 21 October 2020, our Executive Director Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi together with our Deputy Executive Director Marianna Neupauerová visited the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Martin Klus.

The main topic of the meeting was the current agenda of the International Visegrad Fund, as well as plans for the near future, including the continuation of the V4 East Solidarity Program aimed at mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I consider personal experience, getting to know people and building connections to be as an effective tool for the development of regional relations. Especially among young people. The International Visegrad Fund based in Bratislava has been playing an irreplaceable role in this for 20 years. I especially appreciate the recent awarding of scholarships to seven Belarusian students. It is in the difficult times that Belarus is now experiencing that we must support the citizens of Belarus and the young generation there,” said the State Secretary.
