If you are successful with your request for support, you will receive a notification letter confirming that you have been selected as a Visegrad scholar or artist. Here you will find more information on how we’ll work with you and what we expect from you.
Visegrad Scholarship
Communication
To receive the scholarship, a contract has to be concluded between you and the Fund. You will be requested to provide us with ID details from your valid passport such as your name, place and date of birth, etc. for the purpose of contract finalization. The contract will be then sent to you for signing and mailed to the host university/institute upon the receipt of the final acceptance letter (if not submitted by you already at the time of applying) as confirmation of the Fund´s support.Each scholar receives the scholarship at the beginning of each five-month period (semester).
1st installment
Master/post-Master and Bachelor scholars receive the 1st installment after signing of the scholarship contract and after the host university sends us the confirmation of your arrival.
2nd and further installments
Master and Bachelor scholars receive the 2nd and further installments upon the delivery of the transcript of records with at least 30 ECTS credits obtained for previous semester; and confirmation of continuation of studies issued by the host university.
post-Master scholars receive the 2nd and further installments upon the delivery of the progress report written by the scholar including interim results, conference attendance, published articles; and confirmation of continuation of studies indicating the dates of planned completion issued by the host university.
During your studies/research period, you must promote your accomplishment in becoming a Visegrad scholar. Remember to acknowledge our support in any publications resulted from your scholarly activities and at any public events where you present the results and outcomes of your study/research acquired during the term of your Visegrad scholarship. You must cite Visegrad scholarship as ‘Visegrad Scholarship Program, funded by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through International Visegrad Fund’. Also, in any publications or presentations, you should acknowledge that these views are your own and do not represent the International Visegrad Fund.You have to submit the Final report no later than 30 days after the end of the scholarship period.
Master and Bachelor scholars must include in the Final report the copy of diploma (in case of full-time Master's degrees) and the transcript of records with at least 30 ECTS credits obtained during the scholarship term.
post-Master scholars must include in the Final report a summary of the results and copy of any publications written by the scholar during the scholarship term.
