New Year Message from Petr Mareš, Executive Director of the Visegrad Fund
There are many achievements the Fund and its team can be proud of at the end of 2022, and that is not least due to the standing cooperation and open communication with our grantees and partners. Our new program of youth mobility running under the title of “V4 Gen Mini-Grants” serves the best example, as it would not be successful without the interest shown by primary and secondary schools and the engagement of motivated teachers and headmasters.
Russian war on Ukraine forced us to modify to certain degree our regular modus operandi. The Fund adopted a special program of assistance to Ukrainian refugees and prioritized support to Ukrainian students. We will continue in our efforts during the next year, looking for the best way how to help Ukraine within our mandate and capacities.
Despite all the difficulties, we will carry on with innovations in 2023. We are looking forward to launching a new mobility scheme for doctoral and post-doctoral students, young academics, and scholars, as a next step in boosting intra-Visegrad mobility
We hope you will use and enjoy the opportunities offered by the Fund in 2023 and we are awaiting with joy your projects and ideas.
