1st Central European Films in Ankara

After 3 years of festivals in Istanbul and Izmir, for the very first time we will host the 3rd Visegrad–Turkish Culture Festival in Ankara. A compilation of the festival’s previous themes—Body and Spirit and Tune In! Music and Cinema—the festival line-up journeys through captivating stories drawn from decades of films from the Visegrad region, and features master filmmakers as well as young, successful directors such as György Pálfi, Wojciech Marczewski, Juraj Jakubisko, Iveta Grófová, Gábor Koltay and Jacek Borcuch. The special section Tribute to Miloš Forman celebrates the early cinema of the most acknowledged Czech—American director, and his great contribution to the Czechoslovak New Wave.
