V4: Borders and Bridges International Festival—Promoting Book Culture of the V4 Region
As part of the festival program, we will organize a dramatic reading of contemporary V4 literary texts, which will be accompanied by live music (with involvement of local musicians), due to be organized on chosen days during the 4 festival days, at appointed time, in different spots (indoor and outdoor festival venues). The goal of playreading of contemporary V4 authors to public is raise awareness of the power of dramatic texts (that are generally based on dialogue), as a means of communication and channel for understanding each other, regardless of different worldviews, religion, social, political or cultural background. The public readings will also add to our understanding of the strong visual dimension of drama and its capability to “see” beyond the limits of communication. The event will promote the dramatic works of the most relevant authors from the Visegrad region, and thus, help raise the interest towards reading each other more. The readings are centered around the main theme of the festival and its key word: "RESET".
