Biodegradability of Ecological Packaging

This workshop will follow up the previous workshop also conducted in Brno. Day 1: Introduction to Biodegradation and Ecological Packaging - Aerobic Biodegradation Basics and Testing Methods Practical work. Day 2: Anaerobic Biodegradation and Microbial Ecology - Understanding the Process and Testing Methods Theoretical part: Introduction to the theoretical basis of the principles of anaerobic culture techniques and the instrumentation used in the laboratory. Practical work: Preparation and sterilization of media for anaerobic cultivation of microorganisms during biodegradation experiment. Day 3: Microbiological Laboratory Techniques 1 - Methane production test Theoretical introduction in monitoring the production of methane gas as a byproduct of anaerobic biodegradation and practical work. Day 4: Microbiological Laboratory Techniques 2 Theoretical part: Biodegradation Testing and Data Analysis – Experimental Design, Data Collection, Statistical Analysis, and Reporting. Practical work. Day 5: Evaluation of the experiments and assessment of the contribution of both types of tests Theoretical part: Applications and Future Trends in Ecological Packaging and Roundtable Discussion of the Practical work.
