XXXI International Theatre Festival Without Borders
Bieguni—based on the novel by Olga Tokarczuk, Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw, directed by Michał Zadara (individual acting award for Barbara Wysocka in the 27th edition of the All-Polish Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Art); Sztuka intonacji—the latest work by the great Polish playwright Tadeusz Słobodzianek/Teatr Dramatyczny m.st. Warsaw. Directed by Anna Wieczur. The production was in the finals of the 28th National Competition for the Exhibition of Polish Contemporary Art; at the 62nd Kalisz Theatre Meetings - Festival of the Art of Acting, the acting prize went to Łukasz Lewandowski (for the role of Jerzy), and the whole performance was awarded the Naj-Bogusławski title by the audience. The prestigious ranking of Polish actors, announced annually by Jacek Sieradzki, included as many as three actors in roles from this production: Adam Ferency and Łukasz Lewandowski - (with the note: "championship") and Modest Ruciński (with the note "on a wave"). It will be a real theatrical feast. An additional attraction is that the author of the drama will be a guest of the festival as part of the Master's Afternoon series.
