Bratislava, Slovakia
Project
Social Circus Without Borders II
Description: The goal of the workshop is to introduce the art of clowning and give the participants tools to use it in their work. During 3 intensive days they will learn through integration games and playing with each other. The participants will practice basic body expression language rules and comedy movements. They will work on classic clown slapstick gags, ideas from traditional round circus and commedia dell'arte and contemporary clowning methods developed in Cirque du Soleil. They will take inspiration from masters like Charlie Chaplin or Laurel and Hardy. The games and improvisation methods from the workshop will be useful in future work with children and youth. Participants will get certificates after the workshop. Instructor: Joanna Sakowicz – Clown, Circus, Visual Comedy and Street Performer. Performing as Pina Polar. She discovered the World of Clowning with her clown master Michel Dallaire in Clown Academy in South of France in 2010. We miss this type of training in Poland and partner countries…
