Colloquium: Collecting and Preserving Media Arts in Central Europe: Pilot Project

The colloquium will be the opportunity to share among the partners and with public the preliminary findings from case studies in the project. The artists as well as a wider range of experts and interested professionals from other heritage institutions will be also invited to participate. Discussions will feature a range of theoretical, aesthetic and technical issues in preserving and presenting media art and the specificity of these practices in V4 countries, being rooted in the case studies of the project. Papers and presentations from the colloquium will be later edited in proceedings. Emphasis will be made on involving other actors from the field of media arts preservation and presentation in order to extend the network this project has helped to set up.
