Roma Theater – Secret Values of the Largest Minority in the Visegrad Region
The Chameleon girl has been written based on real stories of Roma youngsters. In one story we can meet numerous heroes through the eyes of the Chameleongirl – a Roma teenage girl with the superpower that she can see the world from the perspectives of other people – and finally the girl has to make her own decision regarding education and family. The play focuses on relevant topics for Roma and non-Roma youngsters, which bring fuel for the audience discussion afterwards and highlight the similarities and differences of Roma and non-Roma youngsters, which promote mutual understanding. Beside the performance we will present short videos of different European Roma theater plays, exhibition about contemporary Roma artists and present the first international Roma drama collection – Roma Heroes. We realize roundtable and network event for experts.
