In search of sustainable funding for investigative and other fact-checking journalism

This presentation will be focused on successful examples and strategies of finding the resources for investigative and other kinds of fact-checking journalist work in order to ensure stability of journalistic platforms, so that such media can fulfil their role of fomenting transparency and backing democratic processes. This session contributes to the goal of building the capacity of investigative journalism and making it more sustainable, of providing networking opportunities and of levelling the playing field for investigative journalists and media experts in the region. The session will be followed by a coffee break for participants.
