"Last"—The starting point for the creation of the spectacle is the hundredth anniversary of the last performance of Wacław Niżyński in Saint Moritz in Switzerland. 19.01.1919 Nijinsky danced for the last time. His dance, improvised and created live, was the artist's reaction to world events, including the First World War. This dance was his last statement, the last attempt at contact with the world. LAST is intended to be a co-production project with the countries of the former European Eastern Bloc, because in this region of the world, after the turn of 1989, there has been a strong period of political and economic transformation, which resulted in a collision with new forms and social systems, and thus various reactions to these changes. One hundred years after the last performance of Wacław Niżyński, Europe and other regions of the world faced huge changes. Humanity has been faced with totalitarian systems, such as communism and fascism. Production "LAST", involve international partnership work on different components of the production eg. Ziggurat Project (Hungary) will develop moving image/ av content for the performance and music for a part of the performance, Prestor súčasného tanca (Slovakia) will develop choreographic language for a part of the performance, Cooltour Ostrava (Czech Republic) will offer also important choreographic input, Sztuka Nowa (Poland) will develop stage language, sonic scape and dramaturgy for the show. The main aim is to look closer on democratic ways of theatrical work.
