Local Projects

The participants of the training course will implement local initiatives focused on promoting dialogue and peace-building in their local communities. It is expected that there will be at least 10 local initiatives implemented. The ideas of the initiatives will be developed during the residential training. After that, the participants will have 2 weeks to finalize and apply description of their initiative for small financial support. The participants will be provided with additional knowledge and skills-based support for the development and implementation of their initiatives through e-learning after the residential training: Module on project management and evaluation; topic related Module to support participants in implementing their initiatives (e.g. advocacy, human rights monitoring). The idea of mutual learning and support will be followed during the process of local initiatives’ implementation by the participants. They will be divided into small groups. Every group will be supported by a mentor who will help groups to plan and to conduct initiatives. There will be 4 mentors involved in the project. The mentors will be youth workers and trainers working in the field of peacebuilding and dialogue. Taking into consideration the accessibility for participants, the language can be a barrier. That is why the mentors will be Ukrainian/Russian speaking. 1 mentor will be from CEI (Ukrainian partner), 1 mentor from IRSE (Polish partner), and 2 mentors will be involved from the Ukrainian organizations working in the East of Ukraine - Donetsk Youth Debate Center and Kremenchuk education and information center "European Club".
