Man and the landscape in the past - International scientific conference

The third outcome of the Matej Bel connects us project is the realization of an international scientific conference, where the latest research results of Matej Bel's work will be presented from an interdisciplinary point of view. The event will form a long-term organisational platform for the cooperation of an international group of experts who will be continuously engaged in the research, interpretation and public accessibility of M. Bel's texts in the V4 countries. At the same time, its participants will analyze the publications Matej Bel: Gemerská stolica and Matej Bel: Spišská stolica in terms of the importance and contribution of this valuable source to regional historiography in Central Europe, especially in today's V4 countries. The conference will also create a platform for discussion related to the study of Matej Bel's work and the country from the period in which he lived.
