Project
Citizen Science Close to Space
Open launched stratospheric balloons with 1000 "satellites" prepared by youth, children and others (within the miniSAT program). The implementation of the miniSAT program will contribute to increasing the popularisation of science at the regional level with emphasis on youth and kids. The purpose of the miniSAT program is to directly engage students, pupils, researchers and people around the world in the space theme. Each participant will prepare a mini-experiment, which will be sent to the atmosphere boundary by means of stratospheric balloons. After stratospheric mission participants will get their experiments back. Next they can conduct independent research, e.g. "Plant seeds - will plants grown from seeds sent to the stratosphere grow in the same way as those left on Earth?" The miniSAT program proves that science is available to everyone and anyone can become a scientist.
