Photobook. Asset - exhibition

The exhibition, taking place at Galeria i in Cracow, focuses on introducing photobooks that have been produced by established photographers and most prominent publishing houses. They are usually printed in the form of photo albums, with expensive materials and papers. The show will put together a selection of books from all of the Visegrad countries. As it is an overview of the current and primary market our exhibition contribute to the increasing promotion of shared identity and heritage inside and outside of the V4 region, underline the importance of a photobook as a medium that is easily accessible and attainable for both audience and creators. It also builds participants’ and audience' self-confidence and pride in its origin, create a platform, a community of practitioners and curators and stimulates development and exchange between national scenes. We have already collaborated with Galeria i, during the still life photography show in May 2016.
