Photobook. Storytelling - exhibition

A carefully designed exhibition is presenting the most exciting samples of Visegrad photobooks that have been made out of a need to tell a story, usually personal. Most of the books displayed are either self-published or published in small editions, quite often handmade or cheap printed zines. The exhibition will contribute to spreading recognition of the alternative photobook scene and makers. Through creating a group exhibition in collaboration with the partners and broaching this subject matter, we aim to: - broaden the reflection about the role of the artist/amateur/ activist in art and self-publishing as a tool for social change - initiate long-term cooperation - increase awareness of common heritage, including history and contemporary art.
