Presentation of Eastern Sugar at Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź - ONLINE event

An ONLINE talk between sociologist Magdalena Rek-Woźniak and artist Ilona Németh about the EASTERN SUGAR project. Presentation of Eastern Sugar will have a great resonance for the context of Łódź, a city which underwent dramatic deindustrialization in the 1990`. To respond to the growing interest of our audiences in the post-communist transformation, the Center launched a series of meetings Post-Industralia – transformacje addressing the fall of socialist industry in Poland. Drawing on the collapse of Slovak sugar industry, Eastern Sugar is one of the most complex artistic works working through the memory of capitalist transition of East-Central Europe, an issue of great importance for the museum`s programme and the local audience.
