Fostering Education on Participatory Processes in Urban and Regional Planning
Seminar/pilot project in Poland will be organized by Open Territory Foundation and Research and Development Center e-Humanities UMCS University. Seminar is designed as a half a day public event, primarily aimed for local practitioners where representatives of partners’ institutions/organization will hold workshops on the subject of participatory processes in practice. Interdisciplinary international groups will be working on certain location as separate case study, prototyping new functions for abandoned estate - pavilions, viewing contradictive interests of their particular owners, try to come up with overall strategy for preserving this controversial heritage for entire district, involving its economical aspects. The very immiediate outcome will be work out technological standards of refurbishment for challenging architecture of modernistic constructions.
