Development of strategic communication skills: Lessons from Visegrad Four's experience
4-day in-person course for all participants together, including:
- opening by the project team and ambassadors of the V4 states accredited in Armenia;
- keynote speech by a representative of the EU Delegation in Armenia (tentative topic: EU's global strategy);
- participants' group presentations, feedback by other groups and the course team;
- lectures by experts from V4 partner institutions;
- panel discussions with participation of experts from V4 partner institutions and Armenian experts;
- another practical exercise with participants' group work (6 groups with members different from the exercise in the 2nd part), presentations and feedback;
- evaluation session.
Tentatively, the lectures and panel discussions during the course may cover the following topics:
- Leadership and decision-making;
- StratCom fundamentals (persuasion, campaign planning and implementation, conflict analysis and dialogue);
- StratCom concepts (communication effects, narrative analysis and development, the role of mass media in the implementation of StratCom priorities);
- StratCom and hybrid threats;
- The role of StratCom in dealing with cybersecurity, and hybrid threats;
- Disinformation, fake news, propaganda (strategic narratives as resilience-building instruments against disinformation);
- Developing resilience through media and digital competences;
- Crisis management and crisis communication.
The 3rd part will be conducted in English.
