Actors of Change! Fostering Student Activism in Armenia
The Student Activism School intends to work with 30 students from Armenia in the course of 5 months. Students will be identified by the Armenian Progressive Youth NGO based on open call and interviews. This very dynamic target group will join the Student Activism School – a 5 month capacity enhancement and community building initiative. The Student Activism School will be a safe space, where active students will meet twice a week and undergo a series of capacity building workshops provided by experts from Armenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Participants will freely and critically discuss existing problems of the higher education system in Armenia, acquire knowledge on key concepts related to quality education and democratic processes and develop concrete demands for quality in higher education.
Student Activism School will be a safe space where active students will: Meet once a week and undergo a series of capacity building workshops; Freely and critically discuss the existing problems of higher education system in Armenia; Acquire knowledge on key concepts related to quality education and democratic processes; Develop and address concrete demands for quality in higher education; Improve a set of soft skills as well as activism and leadership skills; Develop and jointly execute campaigns engaging and mobilizing their fellows; Build a community of like-minded people ready to fight for their right of quality education.
