Project
Education of Young Scientists in Ecologically Friendly Agriculture through WB6–W4 Networking
Four lectures and three training's will be held during the two-day event at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia for 7 participants from SRB, HU and POL. Lectures will be focused on plant ecophysiology, plant phenotyping and application of non-invasive methods in crop phenotyping. Prof. Ing. Marian Brestic, CSc., with lecture entitled: "New ecophysiological approaches in plant ecophysiology", Ing. Juraj Medo, PhD. With lecture entitled: "Changes of natural microbial communities after Trichoderma spp. Application", Doc. Ing. Marek Živčák, PhD. with lecture titled: Application of non-invasive methods in crop phenotyping: perspectives in study of plant-microbe interactions, from Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and Dr. Klara Panzarová, PhD. with lecture entitled: Introduction into plant phenotyping - methods, approaches and novel sensors from PSI Brno (Czech Republic).Trainings will be held by young experts from Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, who obtained their MSc or PhD degree. Ing. Juraj Medo, PhD, Ing. Marek Kovár, PhD. and Doc. Ing. Marek Živčák, PhD will hold training on metagenomics approach to study microbial communities, study of plant - Trichoderma interaction traits using high-throughput phenotyping platform and use of manually-operated non-invasive techniques to study effects of biotic factors on plant health and vitality. The main criteria for participation of young scientists on trainings will be enrolled PhD studies or obtained doctoral degree not less than 5 years prior to project beginning.
