Project
Actors of Change! Fostering Student Activism in Armenia
Twenty (20) teaching/academic staff will participate in a two-month long training program in order to develop their competences on non-formal education. They will also support the establishment of new academic programs based on the achievement of measurable learning outcomes, deliver knowledge about the learning process beyond the simple classification of teaching instruments and to bring it to the level of concepts and processes, and facilitate supporting and taking into account individual specificity and learning needs. As a result we will have competitive and professional staff.
When we speak about learning and teaching in the 21st century, it is highly important to think beyond the brick-and-mortar walls of the traditional classroom. That’s why the integration of new methodologies and ICT will ensure the success of the Teaching process.
A fundamental flow during the Training will be based upon:
- Experiencing: different educational settings, different non formal education methods (role play, simulation exercise, world café, human library, etc.) and multimedia, ICT and web tools.
- Reflecting: on the methods and its impacts, on the power and limits of NFE, on building a pedagogical process.
- Transferring: to the own reality of participants in order to improve ways of working with young people.
- Sharing: different perceptions, current situations and experiences.
The priority in the selection process of the academic/teaching staff, will be given to ones who are giving lectures in the faculties of social sciences and humanities. The choice is based on practice that NFL methods are mostly applicable in those spheres.
