Project
Improving Energy Security of Visegrad through Better Energy Efficiency of Buildings
The Workshop will be organized as a 2 hour long session within the C4E Forum – the leading CEE event on energy efficiency dedicated to sharing and learning and building and strengthening the community (www.c4eforum.net). The Workshop will host V4 stakeholders invited within the proposed project, but will be open to other C4E Forum participants, therewith effectively extending the project outreach to stakeholders from e.g. Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries.
The applicant and project partners are targeting a balanced number of V4 stakeholders to participate at the Workshop and the C4E Forum. This means on average 10 stakeholders per country with 6 coming from NGO and public sector and 4 from business and academics.
The Workshop will consist of initial country-specific presentations followed by facilitated discussion to map out situation, identify best practices and barriers and points of future cooperation at the Visegrad level.
Organizing the Visegrad Workshop within the C4E Forum offers the Visegrad stakeholders not only a platform to meet and discuss with each other, but also to explore lessons learned and build contact with representatives of other Central and Eastern European (and other) countries.
Funding provided by International Visegrad Fund is instrumental to making this Workshop happen (and having V4 representatives participate at the C4E Forum) as the experience of the applicant and project partners show that NGO, public sector and academics typically don’t have the budgets for travel and participation. Having C4E Forum organizer among project partners (Chance for Buildings) is instrumental to securing the necessary flexibility as the Workshop will take place only a few weeks after the earliest project start day allowed within this Call.
