Working Group Meeting

The Working Group Meeting will gather 8 Brave Kids Artistic Instructors as practitioners, 2 youth/social workers from each country, and the project coordinator. This meeting will allow these various stakeholders to explore both shared challenges and successes and identify gaps in knowledge and skills among project participants in relation to best serving marginalized youth and the utility of artistic techniques for working with this population. The results determined through this meeting will then inform the shape of training to be held in October; during which artistic instructors and youth/social workers will more directly exchange knowledge, skills, and experience. To prepare for this working group meeting, practitioner participants will be asked to keep diaries of their experiences working with youth for a month beforehand. Through these diaries, they will also begin to enumerate the challenges and formulate questions for further consideration during the Working Group. Dr. Kamila Kaminska of the University of Wrocław will analyze these diaries to prepare a structured working methodology for the working groups. Following the meeting, Dr. Kaminska will prepare a summary article to be shared with project participants and stakeholders and published on project subpage, blog, and all partners’ websites.
