Events for Representatives of SMEs from V4 and Georgia
The applicant together with Partners plans to organize the event dedicated to clusters in the tourism industry. The project is a two-day
conference combined with two study visits, for representatives of small and medium enterprises providing services for the
tourism industry in Gudauri (Georgia). But also for related industries such as transport, construction, food industry - which will take place in Gudauri (it is
planned that the event would take place in 05/03/2020-06/03/2020, therefore discussions on the preparation of the event will begin earlier).
The Applicant and Partners will promote the event among representatives of clusters operating in the above-mentioned industries. The meeting will be
attended by representatives of all V4 countries and Georgia, the invitation will also be addressed to potential participants from outside the
V4 and Georgia. It will be a
event addressed to everyone interested in the subject of the project. Location
proposed by the applicant: Gudauri, Georgia (ski and touristic region in Kaukasus Mountains).
The applicant assumes the participation of about 60 participants invited to participate in this project, the event organized in Georgia will be
attended by about representatives of clusters and companies and representatives of partners from V4 and representatives of the
administration, supporting clusters and the tourism industry. The first day is a one-day meeting, lasting approximately 4 hours (10: 00-14:
00), divided into discussion panels: 1) Tourism and recreation in Georgia (hotels, resorts, tourist attractions, museums, recreation areas, including
active ones, skis, bicycles, other attractions in Georgia. And the end of the first day of event is study visit in Gudauri resort (Gudauri is a mountain resort in Georgia located on a south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, 120 km (75 mi) or about 2 hours drive from its capital, Tbilisi. Gudauri is the resort which has it all – tubing zone, night skiing opportunity, heli-ski and paragliding, ski tours and even a bike parks in summer. It is a growing resort, enchanting visitors with its wealth of opportunities for an active holiday in mountains).
Second day organization of conferences and study visit (10: 00-16: 00) devoted to the
tourism industry. The second day will be the themes: 1) Cultural attractiveness of regions, regional products, specific types of local cuisine,
culinary tourism , wine, cheese, 2) Food industry and its contribution to building tourist attractiveness of regions (regional products), both
on the first and second day of a study visit organized in Georgia in one of the wine companies. General assumptions: - Preparation and organization of an
event lasting 2 days (conference and study visit) for at least 60 participants. The applicant assumes that minimum 20 participants from the applicants and project partners who will be
interested in coming to a meeting from the V4 countries, other
V4 cities (Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic to
Georgia will receive a guarantee of accommodation and meals (including reimbursement of travel expenses). The estimated price, based
on the applicant's previous experience. We assume that some people may leave their place of residence on
the day before the conference starts, so it will be necessary to provide them with accommodation also in the period from 05/03-
06/03/2020. The cost of meals for participants during an event organized as part of the project (2 days), where each day of the conference is 2
coffee breaks and one dinner - 60 people x 2 days. The partners also assume that the event accompanying the conference will be a solemn dinner organized in a place where guests spend the night or in a chosen place during which they will be able to get acquainted with Georgia cousine. The Leader and Partners predict that also in the project they will have to bear the costs of renting conference rooms, in
which the conference will be organized, the costs of technical event support, simultaneous interpreting. Travel expenses of organizers and
speakers related to coming to the meeting. During the meeting in Gudauri, among the participants will be carried out a test regarding
expectations for the second part of the project, which will take place in Slovakia and on this basis will select companies and clusters from
Georgia, which will come to Slovakia, due to the willingness to establish with them closer cooperation. With these entities, an agreement on
further cooperation will also be signed, which is one of the project's products. It should be added that as a result of previous projects from
IVF by the Partner, cooperation with the Tourist Organization in Georgia was established in Gliwice (September 2018). Then the
representatives of the Polish Cluster Association and the Silesian Aviation Cluster were on a visit to Georgia, which resulted in signed
cooperation agreements (for the needs of we can attach them if IVF asks for it) - the visit took place in January 2019. In addition, another
effect of the other project activities that show that the goals have been achieved is that the activities decision-makers responsible for the subject of the cluster , which is why representatives of
clusters are invited, for example, to working groups shaping the future EU perspective Visegrad Clusters, as an organization supporting the
development of clusters, all the time - from the first project implemented under the IVF - supports all initiatives aimed at promoting the
idea of clusters in the international and European arena, among entrepreneurs from various industries, representatives of science and
administration - this is the main objective of the organization's activity. The next step is to build at least two business opportunities for the V4 tourism sector as well as for business partners from Georgia on a "win-win" basis(two lasting partnerships between the actors involved in the project).
Now, in the opinion of the applicant, the cluster cooperation with
Georgia - a country close to V4 countries and very attractive in terms of tourism and culture - should be strengthened.
