Free School Open-Stage
After last year experience, we want to address more new families and people from the public from Jelenia Gora to be more regional and do more practical and attractive program. Program will be as colorful as possible - a combination of pesentation of informal learning tools and experience: exhibition, concerts, dance, and theater presented by children, the piano concert of our guest from Holland, and also workshops for children in the time of open discussion about informal learning tools. Our guest Simon Bauke is a graduate of De Ruimte Soest, a Dutch democratic school and he comes to present the public his "live music meditation". It is a chance for the public to change their views on children growing up in homeschooling or free school environment - they could also experience results of their enthusiasm if they grow up in freedom. It is very helpful for homeschooling platform to have the opportunity to present an adult, who never attended common public school, but alternative democratic school. He can present his talent as an adult already to the public and help to overcome prejudices about homeschooling and free democratic schools... It is a great opportunity after the concert experience for discussion about informal learning tools and also alternative teacher training opportunities. In the same time we prepare workshops for children to allow their parents to stay for discussion. It is very helpful also for parents of homeschooling children because it helps them to overcome fears and brings new views because of the discussion.
