Training (HU): risk-benefit approach
FK bring a different approach regarding risk management. It is “normal” in general to avoid or remove the risks (e.g. cold weather, climbing, fire..). FK do not deal with risks this way., They teach children how to deal with them as a part of this world. While negotiating the FK pedagogy, it is important to make FK approach clear: taking reasonable risk is beneficial and much safer for the children in terms of their life skills development. Risk management influences all aspects of a Forest Kindergarten. The training is focused on risk - benefit assessment and emergency plan that are essential for running a FK.
Led by 3 experts for risk - benefit approach:
- 1 expert from European country, where FK are well established (e.g. Germany, Denmark, Scotland)
- 1 local expert who knows the legislative background.
- 1 CZ expert who provides legislative view and good practice in risk - benefit approach.
The event will be open also for FK stakeholders and practitioners who can benefit from this experience in their daily work and also support the negotiations in local discussions.
The training takes place in a local Forest Kindergarten. Language Hungarian - English (consecutive translation).
