Recrutation and project preparation

During the recruitment and project preparation phase, the project coordinator will fly to Georgia to recruit the training participants. Assistants (from the local partners) in each of the 4 places will assist him in this task. Actions will include information provided to trained rescuers as well as an information meeting on the subject. Candidates for the training will be people who have done basic training in mountain rescue in recent years, would like to work in mountain rescue and would like to specialize in the work of the medical dispatcher and tasks related to topography. The effect of this action will be recruited 12 people (4 Mestia, 4 Kazbegi, 2 Bakuriani, 2 Goderzi) who later on will have a total of 120 training hours. Recruitment will be assisted by local partners: Safety in the mountains and Geoeu.pl. Information about recruitment will appear in the Internet, as well as printed and posted information in the field. Recruitment meetings will also be organized. Candidates will be people who have already finished theoretic training in Mountain Rescue at level 0. The main selection criterion will be the current knowledge and motivation of the candidates. The selection of the candidates will be based on the analysis of their previous activities, knowledge and written motivation. Letters can be delivered personally during meetings or sent to the e-mail address. The environment of Mountain Rescuers in Georgia is known to ICAD Foundatin because we are a co-organizer of the trainings for them and together with the local partners we started its establishment - hence a short trip and local support is enough for the recruitment to be successful. There are currently around 30 people in Kazbegi who have basic training and do not participate in subsequent training levels due to physical and conditioning limitations. There are also about 30 people in Mestia. In Goderzi and Bakuriani - locally partners in the projects have begun on-site shouts. People who have done basic theoretical training is a total of about 20 persons. https://www.icadfoundation.org/projekty/projekty-funduszu-wyszehradzkiego/eng/
