Mestoláska: realities vs utopias
During the summer school, we will organise a public talk and discussion with the founders of the Kajet magazine from Romenia, on the topic of urban imagination, utopias and easterfuturism. Mestoláska is a discussion format established and run by Spolka in collaboration with local cinema: Kino Úsmev. After a short presentation of the expert, we will discuss the relevance of these ideas in Košice’s context with a local expert. The topic of the event is relevant in the context of the summer school as well as in the wider socio-political debates, as in November this year we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Before the event, we will visit the site of the summer school and discuss the topic with the invited expert. The discussions during the event will be summarised and published on Spolka’s website and in a printed form: plagazine Mestoláska, published by Spolka. This summary will be disseminated online by project partners in their respective local contexts to promote the discussion on the topic. The event will take place in the midterm of the summer school and thus bring attention to the already produced results in the first part.
