OFF BRATISLAVA – Exhibitions of individual artists of the V4 countries

Individual Exhibitions represent a curated selection of approximately 25 solo exhibitions by artists from the V4 countries and beyond. Each project is installed as an autonomous exhibition, giving it full space for presentation and communication with the audience. The festival provides production support to young artists—offering printing, equipment rental, and installation assistance, as many of them are not able to secure these resources on their own. During the installation week, artists (or their curators) come to Bratislava and work closely with the festival team to prepare their exhibitions. The week culminates in a ceremonial grand opening attended by the public, a professional jury, media, and the artistic community. In the days following the opening (the weekend), the artists actively engage with the public through guided tours, artist talks, and accompanying events. This section also includes OFF BRANCH—a format of shared breakfasts with informal discussions among exhibiting artists, curators, and guests. Another important element is OFF TOUR—a guided tour of the exhibitions with the participating artists after the opening. This section contributes to the main goals of the project by providing emerging artists from the V4 region the opportunity to present themselves in an international context, supporting their professional growth, and fostering cultural exchange and expert dialogue. https://www.facebook.com/events/1216777910281356?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22home%22%7D%2C%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22attachment%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22newsfeed%22%7D]

Group of closed meetings (onsite)

This task focuses on two closed professional meetings designed to strengthen collaboration among key players in the CEE animation ecosystem—producers, and universities. The first one brings together high-level representatives of the animation industry from different territories and production environments to discuss topics such as international co-productions, support systems for industry and the need for producer-oriented meetings and events. The goal is to expand the network of industry representatives to provide new recommendations and solutions for building a more resilient, connected, effective and sustainable industry. The business gathering is organized based on previous meetings, discussions, and papers such as Ljubljana Accord, Animation Matters – An Action Plan for the CEE Animation, ALICE’s appendices and the final report of the Animar BCN conference. All these documents aim to identify industry areas that need to be improved to create a balanced and stimulating business environment. The academic session follows the first meeting held at the CEEA Forum 2024. It will enable institutions to exchange programme structures, share best practices, and initiate expert collaborations—fostering long-term talent development and strengthening the education-to-industry pipeline. The connection between the academic and professional spheres is fundamental for the successful launch of emerging artists. https://ceeanimation.eu/forum/2025-cee-animation-forum/

CEE Animation Forum 2025

The CEE Animation Forum is a leading B2B market and pitching platform designed to boost the visibility and international potential of animated projects. 29 projects are selected by an international committee of experts and invited to pitch in front of top-tier decision makers, including broadcasters, distributors, festival programmers, and sales agents. Prior to the event, teams benefit from professional online consultations with experienced tutors to refine their pitch. Each category—shorts, series, and feature films—has a structured pitching format followed by a Q&A session. One of the Forum’s biggest strengths is the 1:1 meeting programme, where over 500 meetings are arranged to support co-productions and new business collaborations. We also prioritise informal networking by creating a welcoming environment for relaxed exchanges during social events. https://ceeanimation.eu/forum/2025-cee-animation-forum/
