Workshop 2: Monitoring Visitors’ Methodologies

The workshop will be held in Brno, Czech Republic. It will last 2 working days (1 day at training room; 1 day at pilot area). We will invite 2 PA managers from each partner country (10 in total). UNSPMF will invite 2 PA managers from the WB region. The workshop aims to train PA managers to use different tools and methodologies for visitor monitoring. At the workshop all participants will learn why monitoring of visitors is important, what kind of equipment to use, how to use it, how to analyse results and how to implement gained results in strategies and plans for further visitor management and nature conservation. Also, members from each project partner will attend the workshop. Besides project partners, experts in the field of workshop topics will be invited. https://www.ceeweb.org/vimoma

Kickoff Meeting

The kickoff meeting will be organized at Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Croatia for 2 days. Meeting with representatives of partners, young fellows, scientists and project coordinator. Participants will give introductory presentations. Experimental design, work plan, and schedule of activities will be discussed. The preparation of algal carriers in the laboratory will be demonstrated. Mother and Community Centres Academy

The first educational Academy during which the participants will learn about the structure of mother and community centres, their importance in the local community and their sustainability. The Academy will include the following modules: 1. What is a mother and community centre; 2. Importance of mother centres for my community; 3. How to establish formal and informal mother centres; 4. How to attract beneficiaries to frequent mother centre; 5. Introduction to Sustainability Strategies; 6. Content Creation; 7. Sharing experiences from the Visegrad region; 8. Positive example of local mother centre in BIH. The Academy will be spread into 4 days, each day covering two lectures. This model allows women from different backgrounds to participate in educational activities, as many of them would not be able to do otherwise.
