Networking Workshops—Visit of Polish Librarians in Georgia
The event will be consisted of 2 main sub-activities: 1) Polish Librarians visit in Georgia- Meeting with Association of Georgian libraries in Tbilisi—Librarians from Georgian municipalities will be invited to attend the event at Georgian National Library. Polish librarian will make a presentation sharing Polish experience of libraries/librarians work and their role and spheres of focus in communities. Personal experience will be shared, contacts will be exchanged for future cooperation. One the second day Polish Librarian will travel to one of the project target municipality to visit local library to personally see how Georgian library works. 2) Online workshop for librarians by Czech expert—soon after the Polish librarians visit in GE, Online workshop on the modern role of libraries in communities will be delivered by Agora CE. During which Georgian librarians will learn about Czech practice of connecting libraries with local actors such as schools. Providing social and cultural service to local communities, etc. As a result Georgian librarians will get introduced to the V4 practice, contacts will be exchange and cooperation opportunities created. Overall, Georgian Librarians will be empowered with new models and ideas on their role and function in society.
