Study Visit to Slovakia

A three day study visit to best practice building renovation projects will be organized for up to 8 North Macedonian stakeholders. They will visit project of multi-apartment renovation in Bratislava, Devinska Nova Ves, single family home in Šaľa and school building in Trenčín. These are prime examples of renovation that could inspire other countries. The trip to Slovakia will be used to organize meetings of Slovak Government officials and stakeholders with their North Macedonian counterparts. Ministry of Construction, National Housing Development Fund, TSUS and Slovak Tecchnical University are on the list for now. Side event and talks with Slovak experts will be organized as needed. Note that in case of pandemic restrictions to travel, presentation of best practice examples will replace this event, effectively reducing the project cost in all categories for this specific output. Online Training for Young People: Future Reporters: Raising Voices for Social Enterprises

A 2-day on-line training. 2 representatives per organizations, young people in the age 18–30, and 2 trainers. The platform of training: Zoom. Aim: to equip the participants, young people by needed competencies to interview social entrepreneurs presented in the final product of the project: the map; to develop their writing and interviewing skills, to increase their understanding on the key elements of story, reporting, including technical aspects: to support networking between the participants, to clarify their role in the project and their involvement in the process of creating the online product. http://youthalliance.org.mk/pid/86

Workshop: Trenčín

As part of the project, four workshops will be organized (one workshop in each of the partner countries). Their aim will be to present identified and evaluated cooperation models – measuring effectiveness of the identified models in regards to outputs, management, costs – transferability and modifications of the models and avoiding one size fits all problem and to involve representatives of various environments in the discussion and developing ideas on the possibilities of widespread dissemination, promotion, implementation and monitoring of the long-term evaluation of these models’ applications by involved research institutions. Both participants of the study (cluster managers and representatives of research institutions) and representatives of institutions not participating in the study will be invited to participate in the discussion and provide feedback in order to further develop presented outcomes. Moreover, policymakers will be invited. The discussion will concern limitations in implementing cooperation models outside clusters. Each country may have different conditions such as legal regulations, business environment. The workshops will also be used to discuss the conditions that must be ensured so that R2B and B2R cooperation models existing in clusters can be implemented on a larger scale. The workshops will allow to clarify and improve the project's recommendations for the practice.
