Spring Environmental School

A Spring Environmental School for students, graduate students of natural specialties, including environmentalists and all stakeholders is the next step of the hub's Visegrad–Ukraine initiatives. The event will be held at the base on Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University for 3 days. The main speakers at the school will be representatives of partner countries' universities (Rzeszów University of Technology, University of Presov, Comenius University in Bratislava, and Palacký University in Olomouc). The school contributes to the desired project's objectives to comprehensively understanding the best practices of the Visegrad in the field of climate change and sustainable development as the one main priority of the movement of Ukraine to the EU. The result of the work of the Spring school will be the publication of a book that will cover the relevant research on Visegrad–Ukraine's prospective practices on climate change and sustainable development. Project Kick-off Meeting

The project will begin with the kickoff meeting in Yerevan. Three coordinators of the project form V4 partner universities will participate in this 2-days event. The agenda of the meeting is: to discuss the main activities of the project and implementation details; to finalize the periods of the training at V4 universities, as well as to discuss the organization issues of the training; to have a clear and common vision about the project activities; to discuss the dissemination plan and activities; to know each other better (some partners meet the 1st time). The main idea of the project is education (soft skills training and teaching), because of this the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia will be invited to participate in the event. The project partners agree, that it is very important to have a face-to-face meeting at the beginning of the project, which will positively influence on mutual understanding and bringing common ideas on one board. The free online seminars are intended for architects and engineers, professionals and students alike. They cover the topics on Sustainable Urban Planning, Sustainable Building Design, Sustainable materials, Sustainable project management, Energy-Efficiency, Renewable Energy Systems, building certification systems such as LEED, circular economy, etc. The aim is to improve the knowledge regarding Sustainable Buildings Design, to improve the hard/soft skills of professionals and students in architecture and engineering.
