On-line Scientific Festival No. 1—Carbon-Free Economy under the EU View
The deliverable No.1 would be provided as the online scientific festival for 4 days (5 hours per day) for Ph.D. students and young scientists from different subject areas. Special attention would be devoted to justifying a relationship between the EU renewable energy and developing the Carbon trade market according to the main goals of the EU energy policy.
This deliverable aims to get a foundational knowledge of the EU green energy policy. The students would define the main goals, directives, and supporting mechanisms of the EU green energy policy towards providing the carbon-free economy on the regional level. They would understand the main legislative base of the EU green energy market. Besides, they would get the knowledge of the EU support mechanisms in developing the green energy market. The result is the students' preparedness under the EU norms and requirements to investigate the preconditions and drivers to launch the Carbon trade market in Ukraine. Furthermore, they would use basic business terminology to organize financing, attract partners, and the EU legal support in developing the Carbon trade market in Ukraine.
Learning outcomes: recognizing the main goals of the EU energy policy; examining the possible collaboration mechanism at the EU Green energy market; justifying a relationship between the EU renewable energy and the Carbon trade market.
The online scientific festival would consist of topics as follows: Theme 1 The role of the EU in world climate actions (Climate change impact; the EU targets for key areas under Carbon-free economy) Theme 2 The EU legislation and policies in the Carbon-free Europe (the EU Emissions Trading System; the evolution of EU Climate strategy from 2020 to 2050). After participating in the online scientific festival, all participants would evaluate it by Jotform. Besides, at the end of the course, the participants would receive certificates corresponding to their results.
