YOUng Power Vol. 1—Training Course
The aim of this training course aims to connect less-skilled representatives of NGOs, Young Leaders and representatives of the government institutions with an interest in social entrepreneurship with high-skilled professionals and facilitators from the field.
- This training seminar is dedicated to 20 people from 6 countries, aged 18-30 (4 from the Czech Republic and Hungary, 3 from Slovakia, Poland, Georgia and Armenia). Out of 3/4 people from each country, 1/2 will be a representative of the Youth-Focused Non-Governmental Organisation / Young Leader, 1 will be an Entrepreneur (below the age of 30), who can implement the output of the seminar into their work and 1 will be a representative of a public institution, which is concerned with young people (Ministries, Government Institutions or Youth Institutes). We aim to create a diverse environment, with people coming from different backgrounds. This will allow better peer-learning and exchange of experiences and good practices. Moreover, it improves the dissemination, since the skills can be utilised in different spheres (Local Authorities, NGOs and Young Leaders can establish their own projects and representatives of public institutions can implement it when preparing policies improving the conditions of young entrepreneurs).
- Candidates will be able to apply using an online form. The consortium strictly observes non-disrimination policies.
- The training seminar will consist of 2 study visits, 11 workshops and 1 capstone project.
- The training seminar will focus on developing the key elements of social entrepreneurship from scratch. This means that we will define and discuss the meaning of social entrepreneurship, its key aspect and ways of identifying opportunities and developing an idea. We will dive into the management methodology, talk about the preparation of the business plan and phases of project management and useful documents, which increase the organisation of the work (project charter, scope statement, work breakdown schedule). For every social enterprise, it is important to know how to analyse the performance and increase their quality, to benefit their communities as much as possible, therefore, we will conduct workshops about data analytics and risk assessment.
