Wildfire Field Exercise

Full-scale field exercise with wildfire scenario. The key personnel and the excercise control (EXCON) prepare the worksites for the participants in a safe manner. The response units with 80 members will arrive, than they will have worksite safety&security briefing. After that they will establish their base of operations than the exercise will continue for 24 hrs for them. On the second day of the exercise additional 80 members will arrive, they will also have worksite safety&security briefing. After the briefing they will join the firefighters already on scene and continue joint operations for 12 hrs. On the third day of the exercise the teams will demolish their base and depart home. The field exercise will provide an opportunity for 205 participants, EXCON and organizing members to test their procedures jointly in a simulated cross-border wildfire emergency. The exercise will have a participant-driven approach, which means that the EXCON will prepare a scenario with worksites in a way that the participants need to make their own decisions and forced to cooperate with each other and coordinate their response units jointly. The emphasis will be given to challenges that the teams cannot face or practice without the presence of other units from the other side of the border. The learning objectives will be kept in focus during the exercise allowing the EXCON to identify gaps and good practices. https://www.facebook.com/wildfirex
