Preparatory On-line Session: Introductory Webinar with Experts

This session would introduce 3 concepts: 1) Why disinformation works: Demonstrates how they are tapping into pre-coded / irrationally predictable human behavior, and particularly how our brain works 2) How disinformation works: Demonstrates how they exploit behavioral science, and particularly cognitive biases to impact human behavior and drive the polarization of our societies 3) How do they utilize technology to maximize reach and disseminate: How are disinformation-utilizing artificial intelligence algorithms to target pre-disposed individuals based on their previous online behavior, and maximize fast dissemination. http://stratcom.cbap.cz/2021/08/25/preparatory-session-introductory-webinars-with-experts/

Maths Beyond Limits

Maths Beyond Limits is a 12-day-long international mathematical camp for high school students. Its aim is to gather talented math enthusiasts willing to share their knowledge and passion with each other and to create space for their development by challenging them with interesting and demanding subjects. It focuses on helping them make important habits of creative thinking, self-development, ambition and ability to cooperate. The academic part of the camp consists of Mathematical Classes, Camper Talks, sports and special mathematical activities. The last one uses innovative methods of non-formal education, and includes a Mathematical Match and Relays, which are intensive cooperative games inducing an effective exchange of knowledge. Moreover, it tries to enhance cooperation and integration of European mathematical societies, with a particular focus on V4 countries, and to ensure equal opportunities in access to non-formal education. Camp is held in the beautiful scenery of Beskidy mountains, which lets participants take a city break in a peaceful location. On one of the special days a hike is organised to let participants spend a day together in a non-classroom-like environment. https://mathsbeyondlimits.eu/mbl-2021-and-the-ivf/
