International conference – Border disputes after WW1

The conference held in the premises of the Museum of Cieszyn Silesia will cover two topics - the first day will be dedicated to the Polish-Czechoslovak war of 1919, lectures will be followed by a public discussion and accompanied by the promotion of the book on the last battle of the war, written by authors of both countries. The second day will be devoted to the allied commission in Cieszyn in 1919 (a subject referred to by speakers from non V4 countries, who are the world specialists of the subject) and new borders plans and expectations (e.g. a lecture on the idea of establishing a neutral country in Cieszyn Silesia instead of dividing it). Those lectures will be accompanied by a promotion of the multilingual reprint of "Pole and Czech in Silesia" with the presence of a descendant of the original author coming from Great Britain. The multinational character of the conference (and the reprint) harmonizes with the international nature of the process of border establishing after the WW1. The topics we think are not only attractive but also still not recognized and not discussed yet. http://uhv.fpf.slu.cz/tesinske-slezsko-1920-2020/
