Connecting Talents: developing sustainable ideas to promote intercultural dialogue

This output is designed to help the participants to get to know each other and develop their ideas. The teams will be put together by the organizers and ideally consist of 4 different nationalities. The morning of the first day is designed for the participants to get to know each other. To make this a bit more relaxed, the groups will have a 30min to get to know each other, after which they will introduce another member of the team to the rest of the participants. That way, they are forced to pay close attention to their fellow team members, ask the right questions from the start and interact with each other straight away taking overcoming the first boundaries of meeting someone new. After the introductory round, the tutor will introduce the main objectives of the project and give a short lecture on collective creativity and how to develop ideas in a cross-sectoral context. During the rest of the day, the participants will develop first ideas by getting to know each other and their backgrounds more, exploring the city, talking about their visions of the future etc. The following day they will develop their ideas further and receive some one-to-one mentoring. They will prepare their presentation for the pitchings. https://www.filmfest-dresden.de/en/professionals/visegrad-forum

Saxophony with the Saxony Film Association

Due to current corona restrictions, this event has to be changed. Instead of a collective cooking experience the participants will instead be participating in the "Filmstammtisch" /(Round Table), an event created to meet filmmakers from Saxony with opur partner the Saxony Film Association. The meet up will be followed by a screening of short films. (original event: 2019 saw the first edition of Random Home Cinema: Kitchen Stories, a collaboration with Short Waves Festival Poznan. For many years, Short Waves has been inviting its local audience to attend film screenings in the private homes of the people of Poznan. Curated by festival representatives and filmmakers from around the world, these programmes offer an intimate opportunity to watch shorts and engage with the guests. In Dresden, this idea is combined with food and intended to randomly bring together its audience and the forum's participants. Up to three industry representatives or filmmakers are invited to cook a meal for the guests. During the week, people can buy lottery tickets for 1€. Up to 20 people will be drawn from the lot. They will be told the secret place and can enjoy a short screening of films and afterwards the meal. This meeting of strangers in a more relaxed atmosphere, the mix of locals and professionals makes for great new encounters, conversations and engagement with short film. It is an easily accessible method to reach a different audience and bring together people of very different backgrounds, a great exercise for the forum's participants.) https://www.filmfest-dresden.de/en/programme/online-programme
