Housing – the role of capital

Referring to the examples of housing estates found in Brno, the students will analyse them in terms of profit they generate (according to a well-known rule of looking for answers by following the money flows). They will also discuss the issue of suburban sprawl and compare it with the development of the Czech countryside of Morava. https://autoportret.pl/en/visegrad-fund-project-2021/

36th International Palace Games of Visegrád – V4 Historical Festival

The International Palace Games is among the oldest and most renowned historical festivals of Hungary and the region. All the activities and program elements are meant to offer a complex approach of the common historical heritage, thus fulfilling the main objectives of the project and the mission of the organizers. As we understand that the current and future pandemic situation can affect the organizing, we are committed to face and adapt all the measures which will be needed to implement the event, even if it means qualitative and infrastructural changes. Compared to the previous years we plan to decrease the number of the participants, but we still would like to invite all those re-enactment groups and performers, whose active contribution is essential to keep the qualitative level of the festival. As we hope that the European borders will “open up” until the middle of July, it will mean ca. 700 participants from the V4 countries, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, and Romania. During the 3 days we will hold 10 knights’ tournaments with spectacular performances at the tournament field (infantry and mounted combats, period dance, flag-throwing, falconry shows, drummers’ contest, etc.) and about 80 different programs at other festival venues (Royal Palace, Wine Court, Solomon tower, Park Stage, fair area) where guided tours, documentary films about the castles of the Middle Ages, weapon and armour exhibitions, living history encampments, medieval medicine and artisans’ displays, period music concerts, dance performances, puppet theatre, medieval playground, handicrafts for children, as well as street comedies and shows & duels of knights will entertain the visitors. To commemorate the V4’s 30th anniversary we will dedicate the Medieval Feast on Friday night to the jubilee, celebrating the achievements of this exemplary cooperation. We expect to host ca. 15-18.000 visitors during the 3 days. The estimated total cost of the festival is ca. 111.800 Euro. Printing and publishing: ca. 10.000,- Euro Rental costs (venues and related technical equipment): ca. 22.500,- Euro PR costs (on- and offline media, PR services, Facebook and homepage management, TV and radio spots, etc): ca: 9.600,- Euro Fees for artists and performers: ca. 38.000,- Euro Accommodation and board: 10.500,- Euro Office supply and expendable materials and other services in connection with preparation and organizing: ca. 1.200,- Euro Transportation costs: ca. 1.000 Euro Overheads (fees for helpers during the festival preparation and implementation, accounting, travel and accommodation costs in connection with preparation and marketing activities, etc.) and infrastructure of the festival (water, electricity, waste collection, mobile toilets, etc), VAT and other taxes in connection with the festival incomes and payments: ca. 19.000,- Euro https://palotajatekok.hu/
