Conference • Herceg Novi

Visegrad Vet+ policies on Covid-19

The aim of the project is to organise a two days conference on the mentioned topics. The preparation phase will see participating organisations working on the grassroots of the final international event. This will include organising national online or offline discussions/meetings, and supporting the Vet bodies to choose participants willing to share practices and experiences with international colleagues. The coordinating organization will be responsible to prepare a leaflet with the information of the events, the conferences timeline, and debated topics, plus all the info about the logistics. The event will include three nights and two full days of conferences. On the arrival day, we will organize a welcome evening to welcome participants and introduce the event details; at the same time, the event will encourage vet doctors to know each other in an informal way and create a collaborative and open environment. The first conference day will include initial greetings and acknowledgments. It will continue by discussing the current research state and the actual challenges; presentations, questions, and discussion will be timed to give a time frame and follow the planned activities. An additional occasion to discuss and change opinions will be given by coffee breaks and meals. The second part of the first day and the first part of the second will be dedicated to research discussions and group presentations where it will be presented in the country’ s research state of the art. The second part of the day will be focusing on the future cooperation and creation of a final statement which will be shared among the community and open to other bodies willing to cooperate; finally, the next meeting date and hosting country will be announced to the participants. The desired objectives are: to encourage the cooperation and creation of innovative approaches, developing cross-sectoral collaboration; do a concrete step forward on the issues regarding the lack of coordination in the EU policies and create stable bounds in an extra-European level, which we believe is fundamental to fight against the current and the future crisis; encourage the cooperation between the EU the V4 and the Balkans; build up cooperation bridges and networks among participating bodies and decision-makers. Beyond the partners, in this application, national vet chambers and its representatives from Austria, Bavaria, Croatia, Slovenia, and Romania will be also present at the conference as well as the representatives of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) from Brussels. https://visegradvetplus.hu
