Virtual Winter School – „Theory is not boring“ Redevelopment and reconstruction of Transition Regions in Climate and Society changes

The lectures will be mainly theoretical with several practical case studies. The lectures will be primarily intended for the audience from Ukraine, for whom the knowledge transfer is primarily intended. The lectures will focus on mitigation issues in the context of climate change and the promotion of environmental stability. One of the development opportunities is tourism, so the lecture will be devoted to experiences in this area. Innovative solutions of infrastructure development are an important component of development. Special attention will be paid to the development of urban planning. Land revitalization is also a typical problem for mining regions and one of the lectures will be devoted to land revitalization. The lectures will be predominantly in English with a Ukrainian language version. At the end of the lecture series, those interested will be able to complete a test. Student workshop in Slovakia

Centropa will bring together 25 students from Slovakia for an interactive one-day workshop. The workshop will include film screenings and work with material developed for HerStories project available on HerStories website. Students will learn more about personal stories of Jewish women, their experiences in different countries and became familiar with the exhibition created based on these stories. Students participating in the workshop will be trained as a tour guides for the exhibition, providing peer-to-peer teaching and learning experience to their fellow students and making the exhibition accessible to them. https://www.her-stories.eu/en/events
