On-line stakeholder debate with follow-up media coverage
AIM / Contribution to project objectives: The online stakeholder debate is planned with the aim to support cross-border public debate among EU policy professionals from all V4 countries. For the debate, policymakers, industry representatives, and other policy experts V4 countries will be invited to share their views about one of the key priority areas (Economic recovery, EU Green Deal, Digital Economy and Society).
METHOD: Online stakeholder debate will be organised at suitable online videoconferencing platforms in February 2021. Theme of the debate will be selected from the Pool of themes (WP1) in order to reflect actual political developments and make the event attractive for both policy professionals and wider audience in all V4 countries. Event will be 90 min long. It will be launched by Q&A session between responsible editor and four policy actors, each representing one V4 country (policymakers, public officials). Online event will be attended by policy experts from each V4 country who will be invited to follow the debate and to provide their feedback in the second part of the event. After 45 min, Q&A session with policy representatives will come to and end and will be followed by another 45 min moderated Q&A session with policy experts. During the whole debate, participants will be invited to comment and post their questions in a chat. Event will be streamed by all V4 partners. After the debate, follow-up editorial content (article + podcast) will be published in English and localized by all V4 partners. Follow-up editorial content will be offered also to EURACTIV.com.
RESULTS: 1 online stakeholder debate attended by 20 policy professionals (5 per V4 country), 4 video-streams by all V4 partners 2 follow-up editorial outputs (article + podcast) published in 5 languages (altogether 10 editorial items published at Euractiv.cz, Euractiv.sk, Euractiv.pl, PoliticalCapital.eu, and VisegradInfo.eu).
