Belgrade Workshop
In the frame of the project 4 workshops for young and seniors on "How to make a short film using a smartphone" will be conducted in Serbia, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is planed that every project partner organizes one workshop in its own country. The workshops would be conducted by highly digitally competent professional with experience in production. In the next phase the trained young and elderly will make videos together, with their smartphones. The mixed groups will have 15 days to make videos on the topics they choose. The best videos will be used for production of international film for raising awareness of importance of intergenerational solidarity, so as for short promo spots for breaking prejudice and stereotypes about youth and elderly. The film will be produced in Serbia and presented on the final conference. It will be translated in English and subtitled in order to be promoted in partners countries. The film and the promo sport will be intensively promoted in the frame of comprehensive media campaign.
With these workshops we take an innovative approach in encouraging intergenerational activities, through bringing generations closer using the creative potential of new media and film art. Young and elderly will jointly explore a wide range of creative and artistic possibilities offered by modern digital world, i.e. opportunities for creative expression. We encourage their artistic side but also improve their digital competencies and in the same time examine the impact of creative media on intergenerational solidarity. With organizing workshops in four different counties we will collect valuable regional experiences on using this mechanism in improving intergenerational relations.
