The Curse of Plenty by Ewa Ewart

“The Curse of Plenty” by Ewa Ewart: This is the way the world ends, Not with a bang but with a whimper. [T.S. Eliot, “The Hollow Men”] At the heart of Ecuador’s rainforest, the necessary global debate on progress, sustainable economic development and climate change is taking place. Our survival is at stake. The film raises two key questions that have become more relevant today than ever before. Should we leave the oil in the ground? And, given the ecological effects of continuing to extract oil, what do we risk if we reject a radical change in our approach to oil exploitation around the world? http://arttransparent.org/event/culture-for-climate/
