Establishing a long-term strategy for clean mobility in cities is crucial to ensure better air quality in cities. 1 of 10 Educational Workshops in Slovakia

1 of 10 educational one-day experience-based workshops for primary and high school pupils, based on 1989 theme. The workshop is lead by 2 trained experts. Approximately 30 pupils take part on one workshop. We are not able to tell yet in which cities the workshops will take place, this depends on the demand from the schools. Thanks to the workshops the pupils will have a chance to learn something from the history of their nation and key event of 1989. Trainings

Training for 72–80 mayors, community council members and municipal officials will be organized on the following topics: Citizens' participation in LSG and Development through cross border cooperation, European expertise, sister cities and city-twinning, LSG in Europe, Accountability and Transparency. It is crucial to provide capacity building activities for local stakeholders to prepare them for international cooperation relations, e.g. by improving municipalities` knowledge about EU policies to improve awareness about opportunities and challenges, as well as the understanding of European legislation. Lobbying and networking make it easier to apply for funds and influence decisions; local authorities networking should thus be facilitated by this project. Two invited experts will provide training in each group in a day (half of a working day in each group). Training for two groups will be organized each day. There will be 4 groups in total.
