Carpathian Tourism

A series of workshops helps rural tourism actors to exchange best practices and to adopt new tools for development of their services.

The main objective of the project was to empower local entrepreneurs and to improve the quality and the visibility of their products and services. More than 60 tourism suppliers participated in the training implemented in different tourist sites in each of the V4 countries. The training included study trips, panel discussions, handicraft workshops and individual consultations.

Thanks to the project, small local businesses had a chance to share their experience and establish a long-term cooperation. Secondly, they could learn more about online marketing, social media, alternative and sustainable tourism.

The project was carried out under the Tourism Protocol of the Carpathian Convention and its implementation was concluded by the presentation of the project’s results at the Fifth Conference of the parties to the Carpathian Convention.
